Co-Designing Research for Sustainable Ocean Management in West Africa

The upwelling region off West Africa is one of the most productive and biodiverse marine ecosystems in the world, supporting about 200 million people. But little is known about its current state and future development. To support sustainable management in the face of climate change impacts, the research mission FUTURO is developed collaboratively by stakeholders from policy, society and science. The event discusses approaches to strengthen partnerships and ways to improve ocean governance.
