How can interdisciplinary projects open a space for native people and Afro-Brazilian Fisherwomen and their concerns?

The screening (excerpt) of “Ouro Negro é a Gente” (Black Gold is the People) (premiered at Sao Paulo Biennale 2025) by Brazilian artist Aline Baiana will be followed by an open fishbowl discussion that brings together artists, activists, fisherwomen, environmental advocates, and cultural practitioners to reflect with the audience on how interdisciplinary Ocean Literacy projects can highlight the importance of native and Afro-Brazilian voices in the protection of Ocean and Waters in Brazil.
