Coral Reefs at the Climate–Action Frontline: Science, Finance and Communities for a Resilient Future

Coral reefs are vital to people and nature, yet they sit on the front line of the climate crisis and urgently need emissions cuts and scaled nature-based adaptation. This event gathers government representatives, IPLCs, scientists and NGOs to advance delivery from COP30 to COP31 through reef-positive finance, inclusive governance and locally grounded science. It will close with remarks from Peter Thomson, stressing that protecting reefs is central to effective climate action.
